4.02 (D): General Notes and Life Membership Funds
Existing by-law:
Money received from Life Membership dues minus twice the current Annual Membership Fee and Patron contribution are to be kept in a single risk-free trust fund (Life Membership Fund) or Certificates of Deposit (CDs) that are approved by the BOT.
Proposed Amended by-law:
For New Life Membership Registrations:
* 60% of the Life Membership fee will go to the Executive Committee (EC) for organizational activities and expenses.
* 40% of the Life Membership fee will be retained by the Board of Trustees (BOT) in the Life Membership Fund.
Effective Date:
This amendment will apply to all new Life Membership registrations made on or after February 1, 2026, retroactive to the beginning of the current EC term.
Rationale and Justification:
Due to rising operational costs including venue rentals, external artist fees, audio/video and other related costs, and fluctuating membership numbers, the Executive Committee needs increased operational financial liquidity to maintain high-quality programming and to host community events.

8.02 : COMPOSITION AND OFFICERS.
Existing by-law:
The EC consists solely of the following TAGB office-holders:
1. President.
2. President-Elect.
3. Secretary.
4. Treasurer.
5. Cultural Secretary.
Proposed Amended by-law:
The EC consists solely of the following TAGB office-holders with an additional position of Event Operations Coordinator
1. President.
2. President-Elect.
3. Secretary.
4. Treasurer.
5. Cultural Secretary
6. Event Operations Coordinator
Notes:
The Event Operations Coordinator will be nominated by the President in consultation with the EC
The Event Operations Coordinator will be part of the EC
The Event Operations Coordinator's term will be limited to one year; it is a non-succession role
The Event Operations Coordinator can participate in the decision-making of the EC but will not have voting rights on decisions of the EC
The Event Operations Coordinator will not pay the nomination fees
The Event Operations Coordinator will work under the direction of the President and will provide help in all events organized by the EC

8.02 B : SPECIAL OFFICERS
If Senior Life members, including former Presidents and former Chairmen of the BOT and EC, determine that a special celebration is warranted due to TAGB (1) achieving a monumental milestone, such as a golden or diamond jubilee anniversary, or (2) attaining notable recognition, the said senior members shall designate a Special Event Execution Committee. This body shall coordinate jointly with the EC and BOT to guarantee the event's successful realization.
